#EuPricing V2 — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data #EuPricing V2 ("the app", "we", "us") collects from your Shopify store, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you install #EuPricing V2, Shopify grants the app access to your store's products and markets (read_products, write_products, read_markets). We only read and store what's needed to track prior reference prices for EU Omnibus compliance and expose them on your storefront:

• Store identifier: your *.myshopify.com domain and an offline access token issued by Shopify.
• Markets: market identifiers, handles, names, probe countries, currencies, status, and whether EU pricing is enabled for each market.
• Product and variant pricing: product and variant identifiers, contextual (market-specific) prices polled from Shopify, and an append-only log of price changes per variant and market. We also store computed 30-day minimum (prior reference) prices per variant and market.
• Metafields written to your store: variant metafields (eu_pricing.minimum_prices) containing per-market prior reference prices for display by the theme app extension. We create or update the metafield definition on install.
• Operational logs: timestamps, error messages, and shop identifiers for diagnostics.

We do not collect or store customer personal data, order data, or payment information.

How we use it

• To sync your Shopify Markets and poll contextual pricing across enabled markets.
• To compute and maintain prior reference prices required for EU Omnibus (Price Indication Directive) compliance.
• To write variant metafields so your theme can display the struck-through prior price alongside the current price.
• To respond to product create, update, and delete events so price history stays accurate.
• To diagnose errors and improve the service.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to operating #EuPricing V2.

Where it lives

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (PostgreSQL on Railway, hosted in the EU). Connections to Shopify and to our database use TLS. Access tokens are stored in our database and are used only to call the Shopify Admin API on your store's behalf. Prior reference prices written to variant metafields are publicly readable on your storefront so the theme extension can render them.

How long we keep it

• Market settings, price history, and computed minimums are retained while the app is installed.
• Price history entries older than the configured retention period (60 days by default) are deleted automatically.
• When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends an app/uninstalled webhook. We delete your access token, cancel background jobs, and remove all stored shop data (markets, price history, and minimums) immediately.
• After Shopify's standard 48-hour grace period, we receive shop/redact and we delete any remaining data associated with your shop.
• You can request earlier deletion at any time by emailing us (below).

GDPR / compliance

#EuPricing V2 honours Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks:

• customers/data_request — we don't store customer data, so any request returns no data.
• customers/redact — same: nothing to redact.
• shop/redact — we delete all data associated with the shop.

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR/UK GDPR applies to any personal data of yours (the merchant) that we process. The lawful basis is the contract you accept when installing the app from the Shopify App Store. You may request access, correction, or deletion of that data at any time.

Sub-processors

• Shopify — source of all store data we access and destination for metafields we write.
• Railway — hosting and PostgreSQL.
• Sentry — error tracking (no customer data, only stack traces and shop identifiers).

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email to your Partner contact and noted by changing the "Last updated" date above.
