Silva

Silva is a Swedish company that designs, develops, and sells compasses, headlamps, and outdoor products for sports, adventure, and professional use. They have been in operation since 1933, when Silva's founders invented the world's first liquid-filled compass.

Over several years, Silva had been developing their WooCommerce shop. Numerous developers had been involved, and far too many plug-ins and applications were now hindering each other. Time and again, they had to drop everything just to keep the webshop running.

More branding than shopping

The goal was 70 percent branding / 30 percent webshop. The new shop was intended to be an aesthetic manifestation of Silva – not a competitor to the many retailers. The aim was to create brand awareness and speak to brand fans rather than to the price-buster segment. Therefore, we built a shop in a Premium theme where aesthetics took center stage – the shop accommodates large images, films, and an intense atmosphere. The shop offers multiple language versions and currencies.

Customer care is also given special attention.

We also assisted Silva in getting started with Klaviyo and Gorgias, ensuring that their customer service is now operating at the highest level. We don't just stop at the integration itself; we always make sure to educate the eCommerce team so they are best equipped for the daily digitization of the entire customer journey.
