URGENT ATTENTION: PSD2 Compliance Required
Online payments are becoming more secure - which is great for all of us, especially for webshops as it means fewer lost funds due to fraudulent orders.
This means your webshop also needs to comply with the new rules - and you can’t wait any longer. By September 14, 2019, you need to have it under control.

- - What does this mean for me?
If you use Shopify PAY or Stripe, you can relax - you pay a lot of money, so you deserve it (contact us if you want to save money).
If you use another solution (e.g., QuickPay, Bambora, etc.), you need to ensure you are using their payment window. This means your customers are redirected from Shopify’s checkout to an external payment window and back once the payment is completed.
You also need to have 3D Secure and Dankort Secured by Nets activated.
...and that’s basically it.

FDIH has written a comprehensive article about it, where you can, among other things, read:
For many online shops, it doesn’t mean significant changes if they already accept Dankort Secured by Nets, MobilePay, or 3D Secure solutions for either Visa or MasterCard.

But I can’t figure out how to switch?!
Contact your provider (e.g., QuickPay, Bambora, etc.) - they are super friendly and will help you set it up correctly. QuickPay has made a great guide here.
You can also post in the Shopify User Group Denmark on Facebook - there are many kind Shopify enthusiasts who share good tips and assistance.
_ All in one window or combo?
Some providers offer a bit of flexibility, so you can have Dankort, VISA, and Mastercard in the payment window and yet keep MobilePay and Viabill as independent payment options on Shopify’s payment page.
This can sometimes lead to a poor user experience as the gateway name is displayed and a limited number of payment options. This means, for example, that MobilePay can be hidden... and thus customers may get confused.
At Morfars.dk, we have created an elegant solution where the payment is entirely transferred to the payment window.
When the customer clicks "Approve and pay order", QuickPay's payment window is displayed, and only here does the customer choose the payment method.
Highly recommend the drone with a camera - it's easy to get started with :)
# There's some nonsense on my end_
On Shopify’s payment page, it can appear a bit odd and, in the worst case, some logos might be missing. Unfortunately, there isn’t a perfect solution for this... but sometimes one can be creative. Contact us if we should assist you.
