From WooCommerce to Shopify – both online and in physical stores

Shopify with Traede as Standard Integration 

Momkind is the place most people turn to when expecting a child or having just given birth. With a large traffic-generating article database and a vibrant community, Momkind is on a major growth journey, and their old WooCommerce solution could no longer keep up. On the other hand, Shopify can, offering full standard integration of Traede, where Momkind has inventory and collection management. Additionally, Shopify's POS system, Shopify POS, integrates the webshop and physical stores seamlessly.

Standard theme with a simple front and complex backdrop

Momkind was limited by WooCommerce, which is best suited for smaller businesses and start-ups. The system can only handle a certain number of visits, it is not made for high sales volumes and does not work well with many integrations. Additionally, one must purchase extra space, which is not the case with Shopify. 

In terms of user interface, Momkind has a simple structure, allowing us to use a standard theme. We have custom-developed a due date calculator and revamped the entire URL structure so that the traffic generated by the many articles remains in the correct hierarchy. We have also inserted quick-buy functionality directly on all blog posts, so the customer does not have to jump back and forth between product and article – this creates a much better user experience and more sales. Additionally, Momkind has received:

  • Integration with Yotpo, which links customer reviews directly to the product page
Shopify checkout system ties online and offline together

Momkind has opened their first physical store, and with Shopify's own payment terminal, Shopify POS, we have ensured that the webshop and store are integrated. Shopify POS runs via iPad and is elegant, lightweight, and easy for store staff to operate. The system functions as a unified engine: All data is consolidated, prices are consistent, there is an overview of stock, statistics can be drawn from both the webshop and physical shop, and customer data and purchase history appear on the screen with a single click. This makes exchange situations much easier and creates a better user experience.
