Momkind: Fra WooCommerce til Shopify – både online og i fysisk butik
CASE: Momkind

From WooCommerce to Shopify—Across Both Your Online and Physical Stores

"Shopify is much easier to work with than our old WooCommerce solution, which, with its many customizations, had turned into one big spiderweb accessible only to developers. With Shopify, we've gained a user-friendly and highly intuitive system that everyone in the office can work in. Additionally, the system is scalable, so our new shop is ready for the future we are heading into."

Shopify with Traede as Standard Integration

Momkind is the place most people turn to when they are expecting a child or have just given birth. With a large traffic-generating article database and a vibrant community, Momkind is on a significant growth journey, and their old WooCommerce solution could no longer keep up. However, Shopify can, offering full standard integration of Traede, where Momkind manages inventory and collections. Additionally, Shopify's checkout system, Shopify POS, seamlessly integrates their online store with physical locations.

Momkind was limited by WooCommerce, which is best suited for smaller businesses and start-ups. The system can only handle a certain number of visits, it’s not designed for high-volume sales and doesn't work with many integrations. Furthermore, you need to purchase additional space, which is not the case with Shopify.

From a user interface perspective, Momkind has a simple structure, so we were able to go with a standard theme. We custom-developed a due date calculator and restructured the entire URL hierarchy to ensure that traffic generated by numerous articles stays in the correct hierarchy. We've also implemented quick-buy functionality directly on all blog posts, so the customer doesn't have to jump back and forth between product and article – this creates a much better user experience and leads to more sales. Additionally, Momkind received:

  • Integration with Klaviyo
  • Integration with Dixa
  • Integration with Yotpo, which links customer reviews directly on the product page

"We knew we wanted to switch to Shopify, and it quickly became clear that DTAILS are the most experienced in this field. It made sense for us to go with the experts because we wanted a quick and easy process. And that's exactly what we got! Our questions were always answered immediately, and DTAILS were consistently proactive in determining which decisions needed to be made and when, ensuring the timeline stayed on track. With Shopify POS, the opening of our physical store depended on the webshop, and we were able to launch at the agreed time."
