BookKeeper

Simple and Easy Bookkeeping

BookKeeper is an app that helps you record daily sales. Instead of the traditional accounting app that synchronizes customers, orders, and products, BookKeeper keeps it simple and only sends the day's accumulated sales figures as a journal entry to the accounting system.

The principle is that a journal entry is created for the day's sales - both for online and store sales - in the same way as when you balance the cash register. It's a new way to record daily sales, and in terms of time, it's a significant saving for your accountant and thus a financial saving for you.

Integrations

BookKeeper integrates with 3 accounting systems:

  1. Billys
  2. Dinero (note you must have a pro subscription for BookKeeper to automatically transfer journal entries)
  3. e-conomic

Not all features are supported by all accounting systems. Below are detailed which features are supported by each accounting system:

Billy Dinero e-conomic
Journal entries grouped under name X X
Journal entry group created automatically X X
Automatic transfer of journal entries X X X
Automatic approval of journal entries X X
Journal entry transferred in currency other than DKK** X X

** For shops that use a currency other than DKK and use Dinero, conversion is made according to the daily exchange rate before the journal entry is sent to Dinero

How do I get started?

To get started, simply install the app.

Once the app is installed, you need to approve the subscription (this is determined by your Shopify subscription), and then a synchronization of orders for the last 3 months will begin.

When the synchronization is completed, you need to configure BookKeeper. This requires that you and/or your accountant have decided which account online and store sales should be on, for the different gateways.

Once you have specified this, BookKeeper suggests how you can set up your journal entry, and you need to do nothing more if you have selected daily automatic synchronization to your accounting system - simple, right?
