BookKeeper
Simple and Easy Bookkeeping
BookKeeper is an app that helps you record daily sales. Instead of the traditional accounting app that synchronizes customers, orders, and products, BookKeeper keeps it simple by only sending the day's accumulated sales figures as a journal entry to the accounting system.
The principle is to create a journal entry for the day's sales—both online and in-store—much like when you balance the cash register. It's a new way to record daily sales, saving your bookkeeper time and thus saving you money.
Integrations
BookKeeper integrates with 3 accounting systems:
- Billys
- Dinero (note: you need a pro subscription for BookKeeper to automatically transfer journal entries)
- e-conomic
Not all features are supported by all accounting systems. Below are the details of what features are supported by each accounting system:
Billy | Dinero | e-conomic
Journal entries grouped by name | X | X
Journal entry group created automatically | X | X
Automatic transfer of journal entries | X | X | X |
Automatic approval of journal entries | X | X
Journal entry transferred in a currency other than DKK** | X | X |
** For shops using a currency other than DKK with Dinero, conversion is based on the daily exchange rate before the journal entry is sent to Dinero.

How Do I Get Started?
To get started, simply install the app.
Once the app is installed, you'll need to approve the subscription (based on your Shopify subscription), after which synchronization of orders for the last 3 months will commence.
After the synchronization is complete, you can configure BookKeeper. This requires that you and/or your bookkeeper decide which account online and in-store sales should go to for the different gateways.
Once you have specified this, BookKeeper will suggest how you can set up your journal entry, and from then on, you won't have to do anything more if you have selected daily automatic synchronization to your accounting system—easy, right?
